It is important to know what your credit score is. It's kinda like knowing your weight. If it's bad, you don't wanna, but it's good motivation if you do.

Why do you need to know? Well this is what companies or credit unions check before lending you money for a car, house, or personal loans. Your credit score may also be checked when you are trying to lease an apartment or date an FBI agents daughter.

But before you run over to a site that will charge you for free information (like freecreditreport.pay, I mean .com) check out this website Credit Karma. Not only will they give you your score for free, without attachments, but they will also give you some great advice on bumping your score up. It's a great, free resource out there.
