Year in Review: 2009 BC
What a year eh? Many may associate this year with recession, war, and death, but I would rather look at the positive such as cutting edge bronze work or the development of the Phoenician alphabet. These are works of progress that will forever shape our civilization. However, we will be reviewing the past year, the good and the bad.
- Bronze-developing rivals Steve Jobicus and Bill Gaticus have once again raised the bar in bronze-developing by their new technique of smelting bronze, where they are able to transform bronze into helpful items, such as tools, bowls, or weapons.
- Obama is the first ruler of the Middle Kingdom and has won the honorable "Nobeliticus Peace Prize", which included a monetary award prize of 1.4 shekels! That could buy a lot of goats!
- The economy has been hot topic this year. In fact, the Dow Jonesicus Bronze Average has been as low as 6,500 shekels this year, but has since climbed to 10,500 shekels by the end of the year. Will 2008 BC be the year of full recovery?
- In Sports, the Pittsburg Bronzers won the Superbowl, the Noridic Yankees won 2009's stick-n-rock World Series, and Alabama's Mark Ingramicus won the prestigious Heismanicus Trophy.
- 2009 also said farewell to many great people such as Michael Jacksonicus, Farrah Fawcetticus, Billy Maysicus, David Carradinicus, Steve McNairicus, and Ted Kennedypsus.
2009 BC has been a year to remember. As we move forward, it is exciting to see what 2008 BC has to come ... maybe we will see silver!
